Airlie Beach is the closest mainland destination to the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. It is also the most popular town from which to experience the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland, Australia.

Mango House Resort is superbly located, just over one kilometre from the heart of Airlie and even closer to the new Port of Airlie Development. We are close to both Shute Harbour and Abel Point Marina and within easy  distance of the beautiful bush walks of Conway National Park.

Getting to Airlie Beach

By Air - Whitsunday Airport (Proserpine)
Direct flights into Proserpine are available from several Australian cities with others coming into Proserpine via Brisbane.  From Proserpine Airport it is about a 30 minute drive to Mango House Resort. We can arrange a Shuttle  to drop you at our door at a charge.

By Air - Hamilton Island
Direct flights to Hamilton Island are available from several Australian cities. The ferry terminal is a brief 1 minute walk from the airport terminal. Ferries depart regularly for Shute Harbour (7 klms from Mango House Resort) or Abel Point Marina (4 klms from Mango House Resort).

By Road
Airlie Beach is approximately 2 hours drive north of Mackay and 3 hours south of Townsville on the Bruce Highway.

By Train
A train service is available to Proserpine railway station from Brisbane and Cairns, with a bus pickup service to our door.

By Bus
Airlie Beach is a destination for all the major bus and coach companies servicing the east coast of Australia.
